K DreamSpeak ("K DreamSpeak," "we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile application that helps users learn to speak Korean, including pronunciation practice, AI-assisted conversation practice, and progress tracking (the "App" or "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have regarding your information.
This Policy applies to the K DreamSpeak mobile app (iOS and Android) and this website. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

When you use pronunciation practice features, the App records short audio clips of your spoken Korean. This audio is transmitted to our pronunciation-scoring service (Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services — Speech) solely to calculate a pronunciation score and related feedback. See Section 5 for details.
When you use AI-assisted conversation or learning-scenario features, the text you type or questions you ask are sent to the Google Gemini API to generate learning content and responses.
Subscriptions are purchased and billed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase systems. K DreamSpeak does not collect, see, or store your credit card, debit card, or other payment instrument details. We only receive and store confirmation of your subscription status, plan type, and purchase/renewal identifiers needed to unlock PRO features.
If you use the App on the Free plan, banner and interstitial ads are displayed via Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve and measure these ads, AdMob and its advertising partners may process an advertising identifier (iOS IDFA / Android Advertising ID), general device and app information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. See Section 6 for details on app tracking transparency and your choices. PRO subscribers do not see ads, and this advertising identifier processing does not apply to them.
We do not use your voice recordings or AI conversation inputs for advertising purposes, and we do not sell your personal information.
We work with the following third-party service providers ("processors") to operate the App. Each provider only receives the data necessary to perform its specific function and is contractually/technically restricted from using your data for unrelated purposes.

Google's use of information from AdMob is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob data collection disclosure.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of K DreamSpeak, our users, or others. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Users on the Free plan are shown banner and/or interstitial ads within the App, served through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). PRO subscribers do not see any ads, and none of the advertising data described in this section is collected for PRO subscribers.

K DreamSpeak's infrastructure and service providers are located in multiple countries, including the United States (AWS us-east-1, Google Gemini, Firebase, Google AdMob) and other regions used by Microsoft Azure. This means that your information, including audio recordings, account data, and advertising identifiers (Free plan only), may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law (such as the GDPR), we take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by our providers.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted network transport (HTTPS/TLS), authentication token expiration and refresh policies, rate limiting, and restricted access to production systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
K DreamSpeak is not directed to children under 14 years of age (or under 13 in jurisdictions such as the United States, per COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these age thresholds. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the applicable age, we will take steps to delete it promptly. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app notice or email) as appropriate.
