These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the K DreamSpeak mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by K DreamSpeak ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
K DreamSpeak is a mobile application designed to help users learn to speak Korean through pronunciation practice, AI-assisted conversation exercises, learning content, and progress tracking. Certain features rely on third-party technology, including speech-recognition/pronunciation-scoring services and AI language models, to generate feedback and content. Scores, feedback, and AI-generated content are provided for educational purposes only and may not always be perfectly accurate.
The Service is not directed to children under 14 years of age (or under 13 in jurisdictions such as the United States). By using the Service, you represent that you meet the applicable minimum age requirement in your jurisdiction, or that you are using the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by local law.
All purchases are billed by Apple or Google and are subject to their respective refund policies. K DreamSpeak does not directly process refunds. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support (for App Store purchases) or Google Play Support (for Google Play purchases) directly.

Feature availability, usage limits, and pricing may change over time; we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes affecting active subscribers.
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as your recorded audio or text inputs), but you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide and improve the Service (e.g., sending audio to our pronunciation-scoring provider, or text to our AI provider, to generate a response).

The Service, including its software, design, learning content, trademarks, and logos, is owned by K DreamSpeak or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the App for personal, non-commercial learning purposes, no rights are granted to you in the Service's underlying intellectual property.
Certain features of the Service rely on third-party technology providers, including but not limited to Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (pronunciation scoring) and Google Gemini API (AI-generated conversation content). These services use automated and/or AI-based processing, and results (including pronunciation scores and AI responses) are provided "as is" for educational and practice purposes only. They may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflective of native-speaker judgment, and should not be relied upon as a certified or authoritative language assessment.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOME OR THE ACCURACY OF ANY PRONUNCIATION SCORE OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, K DREAMSPEAK AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful activity, or for other legitimate business reasons, with notice where reasonably practicable. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time as described in Section 4. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made, and for material changes we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app notice) where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
